Mark Edward Smith was born in Morocco in 1942 in an English family.
1973 he moved to Venice and for more than thirty years he has been a professional photographer, specialized in reportage, travel, arts, architecture and nude.
He took part in 25 individual and 5 collective exhibitions.
He published 40 books in Italy, United Kingdom, France, U.S.A., Germany, Korea and Japan.

The archive is composed by 700.000 transparencies, 25.000 of which scanned and 15.000 digital.
