Manners in Venice

give the way of right to who is faster as you
aspecially if you hear a person shouting PERMESSO
which means MAY I
do not sit down on bridges for no reason
do not block streets and crossways

in the hot summertime do not walk around half naked Please!
do not present yourself in shorts to enter
Museums Churches the Casino or Alex's Gondola

if you want to be helpfull to a local
ask before to avoid missunderstandings

take off your backpack on the waterbus
make sure your luggage doesn't stand
in the middle of the gangway
remember that locals are quite stressed do not stand in their ways
to go on and off the waterbus
give your seat away to old Ladies
they will love you..
avoid to stand in the officers way at all times

Help us to keep the city clean !
do not throw trash on the floor or in the water
be prepaired to carry your trash a while before you find a garbagecan
try to be civilties do not use the city as a WC
